Early in my career, someone asked me why I love what I do for a living. Without hesitation, I responded and said that I loved connecting brands with customers. What I didn’t realize at the time was how important building purpose-driven brands would become in my life. Over a decade ago, I co-founded the first network of organic farms in Southeast Asia. What began as an organic farming venture quickly evolved into a portfolio of consumer goods brands, and soon after that our company became bigger than all of us imagined it could be. Our brand transformed into a lifestyle and became an opportunity to change the way people cooked, ate, and viewed the environment. At this moment, I realized that living my values through my work was where I found my happiness. I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life in Southeast Asia but discovered that my path led to a different destination.
After divesting from the company and returning to the US, I took my experience as a CMO to the consulting world and built global practices focused on marketing strategy and execution. But the purpose-driven component of my career was missing, and that is what led me to Five to Flow. Every day, I am focused on creating a memorable, purpose-driven brand that will change our customers’ lives and the world. My work is about more than ads, clicks, or creativity. It’s about managing teams to develop campaigns with a conscience, build brand equity, and strategically create an out-of-the-box answer for one of the most difficult marketing challenges: how to be known in a crowded, noisy marketplace and serve a higher purpose.
After spending the last two decades learning and growing as a leader, I am still passionate about using marketing as a mechanism for connecting global brands with consumers and improving their lives.
