Laura Mignott: Business Leader and Storyteller

Since storytelling is so important to us, we want to take this opportunity to congratulate Laura Mignott for receiving the Women in Marketing 2020 Storyteller of the Year Award. WiM presents this award to a female or male writer or broadcaster, who has covered the marketing industry with intelligence, thoroughness and excellence. This award recognizes individuals who are successfully changing the narrative and helping the industry understand key issues, whether through podcasting, interviews, features or news. This award is not just for journalists. All writers and broadcasters who are making an impact are considered for recognition. WiM recognizes people who have successfully addressed issues of gender discrimination or any other kind of discrimination and challenges that women or minority groups face, or who have championed the successes of women through their work.
Since creating the Reset Podcast, Laura has provided a forum for women and business leaders from underrepresented communities to share their stories and empower others to do the same. Her show is breaking barriers and inspiring the next generation of leaders to be agents for meaningful change. When she isn’t sharing her provocative point of view on the Reset, she is running DFlash, a cultural communications agency that energizes brands to take meaningful action and create lasting change. Laura has been a driving force at Cannes Lions, where DFlash has served as the executive production agency at Inkwell Beach and curated the largest diversity, equity and inclusion event ever in 2019 and 2020.
DFlash is also disrupting the industry by curating culture boards for brands to meet the higher expectations of cultural literacy. DFlash Culture Boards help create lasting impact by working with organizations to create sustainable programs that use their own internal widgets to do good. She has made it her mission to help organizations create change, from the inside out.
